- Malaysia is going to host a Grand Prix in the future. Bernie Ecclestone has said: "We will be in Malaysia in 1999." The 5,6 km track is yet to be build. It has an estimated cost of 75 million dollars.
- The German Jorg Muller is may be entering Formula One with the TWR F1 team next year. He has a contract with the team to perform some tests.
- Schumacher has said after the Grand Prix of Portugal this weekend that Damon Hill deserves the World Championship title this year. "Hill deserves it. He has worked hard for it," he commented.
- The non-official information, that have been heard today at Estoril
racetrack, is that Stewart Grand Prix have invited Rubens to drive one of his cars.
The Scot enjoys the style of driving of Barrichello and believes that he can
be very useful to the team. Barrichello wants to quit Jordan-Peugeot Team but has no great
options.
