Alex Zanardi has revealed in an interview with a British magazine that he had also been offered a ride along side Michael Schumacher at Ferrari. Zanardi wanted a drive with Williams however.

The Italian also said that he had already contacted Williams in 1994 right after the San Marino Grand Prix at Imola. A seat had become vacant because of the tragic death of Ayrton Senna. But he was not proud of this request.

He also stated that CART is nothing compared to Formula One.
