The FIA is unwilling to make any comments on the hearing with Jacques Villeneuve which is scheduled on Wednesday. Villeneuve has to fly the Atlantic twice in order to appear in Paris (France) to explain the comments he made on the 1998 rules.
A FIA spokesman said: "The FIA World Council has a scheduled meeting on Wednesday and we will not be issuing a statement before then."
It's unclear if Villeneuve is going to get penalised for his remarks.
