- Frentzen is going to move to England. He will leave the tax-paradise eventhough he is going to earn 10 million next year with the Williams-Renault team. He wants to live near London so he can easily go to Silverstone in the winter to test.
- Frentzen was testing for his current team - Sauber-Ford - at Mugello (Italy) today. These tests concentrated on the next Grand Prix at Estoril (Portugal). He drove a best time of 1:29.16, 61 laps.
- Eddie Irvine will continue testing for the 1997 season on the Fiorano (Italy) circuit.
- Willie Weber, the manager of both Ralf as Michael Schumacher, received a fine of DM. 250.000 for not paying taxes on a car sale, a Ferrari F40, to Japan.
