Michael Schumacher completed the tests for Ferrari at the Monza (Italy) circuit today. He set yet another fastest time, 1:24.832, making the improvement of the car substantial. The new gearbox and rear-suspension really seem to be working for the German World Champion, especially if you take into consideration that the new fastest time was set in a F310 with a heavy fuel load. Schumacher will continue testing in the test F310 next Wednesday to try out a whole new aerodynamic package. A new update of the V10 Ferrari engine was not available yet.
Irvine will shake-down the Ferrari's that are going to be used in the British Grand Prix next week at the Fiorano (Italy) circuit tomorrow.
Johnny Herbert carried out a tyre test for Goodyear at Monza. He tested a tyre with a different rubber mixture than was used before. He set a best time of 1:27.6.
