The Sauber team completed a three-day test at Valencia on Thursday, and once again German Nick Heidfeld was faster than the only other driver present at the Ricardo Tormo circuit.
Heidfeld, who was also quickest on Wednesday, concentrated on suspension measurements in the morning and completed a race distance in the afternoon. The team also worked on developing cooling configurations for Hungary, one of the hottest Grand Prix of the year.
"We were able to cover a lot of laps this afternoon, and I am encouraged by the performance of the car and the Bridgestone tyres in this test," admitted Heidfeld at the end of the day. "It bodes well for our chances in the Hungarian Grand Prix."
The British American Racing team were also working at Valencia for the second consecutive day, with Frenchman Patrick Lemarie completing 76 laps to finish nearly a second behind the Sauber. BAR will continue testing tomorrow.
