Schumacher Joins Badoer for Testing at Fiorano

World Champion Michael Schumacher joined Ferrari test driver Luca Badoer today at Fiorano, where the team is running development work and shakedown of the cars for the upcoming British Grand Prix.

Michael Schumacher worked on electronics and setup throughout the day, completing 80 laps with a best time of 59.246. The German driver also did 20 laps on an artificially wet track.

At the same time, Badoer concentrated on practice starts and electronics work, doing a total of 39 laps, with a best time of 1:00.932. In the early afternoon, the Italian began shaking down the three chassis to be taken to Silverstone, improving his time to 1.00.022.

During the day, Ferrari also ran straightline testing at the Vairano circuit, with Fabrizio Giovanardi. The Italian centered on testing new aerodynamic solutions and completed 80 runs. He will continue testing at Vairano tomorrow.
