Ferrari test driver Luca Badoer improved his best ever time at Fiorano today, while the team continued testing for the upcoming US Grand Prix next week, as well as preperations for the 2002 season.
Running for the fifth and final day of this week's session, Badoer used two cars to continue with the work on electronics and new components which could be used next year.
Badoer began driving at 10:00 finished work at 16:30, having completed 86 laps (12 on the short version of the track), as well as doing two practice starts.
The Italian's fastest lap took 59.239 seconds - an improvement on his personal best ever time at this track, set in May this year (59.359). His current time is some four tenths slower than the track record of 58:890, set by Michael Schumacher earlier this year.
