Italian test driver Luca Badoer began today Ferrari's final week of testing of the 2001 season at the Fiorano circuit, where the World Champions will prepare for the upcoming Japanese Grand Prix, the final race of the year.

Badoer concentrated on the continued development of new components for possible use in next year's car, completing 120 laps, 41 of them around the short track, with a best time of 59.312. The Italian also practice three starts.

Badoer will continue testing at Fiorano on Wednesday, when he will be joined by World Champion Michael Schumacher.
