Badoer and Alonso Test at Fiorano

Ferrari's test driver Luca Badoer set on Wednesday his best personal time at the Fiorano circuit, on the second day of testing for the Italian team in preparation for next week's Monaco Grand Prix.

Badoer was at the wheel of the F2001 for a programme based on electronics with particular emphasis on traction control and starts. The Italian, who completed a total of 118 laps, also carried out some tyre tests, setting a best time of 59.540.

Ferrari were joined today by the Minardi team, whose driver Fernando Alonso ran 43 laps around the Italian track, with a best time of 1:02.636.

Rubens Barrichello and Michael Schumacher will join the Fiorano test on Thursday.
