Saturday was the fifth and final day of testing for Ferrari on the Fiorano track.
The day's programme saw Luca Badoer alternating between no less than five examples of the F2001. From 9:30 to 15:30 Badoer continued with development work, working mainly on setup, electronics and new aerodynamic solutions. From around four in the afternoon he switched to shaking down the three cars which will be used in the forthcoming Austrian Grand Prix.
Badoer covered a total of 105 laps (11 on the short version of the circuit,) setting a best time of 59.819s, which is his record on this track. Weather was variable with the temperature ranging from 15°C to 20°C in the air and 19°C to 36°C on the track.
