World champions Ferrari worked at their Fiorano test track for the fourth straight day, and they were joined by the Minardi team with their star driver Fernando Alonso.
Championship leader Michael Schumacher took over from team mate Rubens Barrichello alongside test driver Luca Badoer, who was also present at the Italian circuit today. Both drivers were forced to drive on a wet track following some mornings showers.
Schumacher worked on tyre testing, completing a total of 71 laps with a best time of 59.932, while Badoer continued with the development of electronic systems, running 75 laps with a fastest one of 1:01.021. Meanwhile, Spaniard Alonso worked at the wheel of the Minardi PS01, setting a best time of 1:05.212 after 45 laps.
Tomorrow, Badoer will conclude Ferrari's preparations for the Austrian Grand Prix.
