Fisichella Fastest at Silverstone - Day Three

Friday July 21st, 2000

Testing finished at Silverstone yesterday, with Benetton's Giancarlo Fisichella finishing the day fastest overall, just ahead of Williams driver Jenson Button.

Fisichella was joined at Silverstone by test driver Antonio Pizzonia, who did some work on general set-up to assist with development of the car. Fisichella's main aim was to increase mileage on the engine, although this was interrupted by some minor problems with the car and several red flags on the track.

McLaren test driver Olivier Panis was again faster than David Coulthard, while Jaguar test driver Luciano Burti set a respectable fifth fastest time.
