BAR are packing up at Kyalami after a week and a half’s testing at the South African circuit. Jacques Villeneuve’s mark today of 1:23.276 among 48 laps, was the quickest of the week, but is still some way off last year’s pace - albeit that today’s activities were curtailed by technical problems.

In all, between BAR Honda and BMW.Williams, the teams completed 4900km during the Kyalami test, which was hampered by the region experiencing its highest rainfall in half a century.
