After a weekend break, Ferrari drivers Luca Badoer and Michael Schumacher returned to Fiorano for a final test and shakedown of the cars to be used in Belgium this weekend.

Testing began after lunchtime, Badoer being the first to take to the track, shaking down two of the four cars. With chassis 205 (Schumacher's race car) he did 8 laps, 5 of them on the short circuit. With chassis 202 (Barrichello's race car) he completed 4 laps, 2 of them on the short circuit. The best time of the session was a 1:04.651.

A couple of hours later, Michael Schumacher shook down chassis 198 (his spare car), completing 5 laps, 3 on the short track, with a best time of 1:03.213.
