Rain Affects Testing at Fiorano

Saturday August 5th, 2000

Ferrari continued testing yesterday at Fiorano, with Michael Schumacher at the track.

Poor weather caused a change in plans for the day's testing. Originally, development work had been scheduled to be carried out in the morning, but rain saw wet weather set-ups being tested, Schumacher completing 26 laps on wet weather tyres, with a fastest of 1:10.149.

In the afternoon, the track dried, and the scheduled development work was able to be carried out, covering 29 laps on grooved 'dry' tyres, with a best lap of 1:01.777. Schumacher also completed 6 practice starts.
