Wednesday October 20th, 1999 The Stewart team, whose drivers were promoted to second and third in the Malaysian Grand Prix due to Ferrari's disqualification, will join McLaren and also attend Ferrari's appeal hearing on Friday, to pledge that the disqualification remains intact. "We have taken up the invitation to attend the hearing because the outcome will directly affect us, we feel that if Ferrari are found to have contravened the rules then the disqualification should hold," a Stewart spokesman told The Independent newspaper today. "There's obviously a big difference between going into the final round with an advantage of eight points rather than three. It's about prestige and the position in the pits next season."
