Rumors surfaced over the weekend that Bernie Eccelstone was involved with one of the newly reported bids for Manchester United football club. Ecclestone told BBC Radio 5 Live that he is not involved with any bid for the club and he would never go up against bSkyb and Rupert Murdoch. He did, however, admit that he had involvement in European Super League proposals. He told the British newspaper the Sunday Mirror: "I am involved, but only a little bit. My interest is getting this whole thing off the ground. I don't know much about football but I think this is necessary and I think it would work."
