Michael Schumacher and David Coulthard made peace today at the Monza track over the incident during the last Grand Prix. The two had an hour long private meeting after which Schumacher acknowledged that it was a race accident. He also said that Coulthard did not deliberately slow down.

Schumacher stated: "Then after a bit of time you think about it, you look at it, and as we know David, you think he is not the sort of person who would do it. Then you calm down and are a bit more realistic about it."

Coulthard commented at a separate press conference: "I will be happy to race wheel-to-wheel against him this weekend."
