Teams completed a second day of testing at Barcelona Wednesday. Damon Hill was again fastest for Jordan, ahead of Ralf Schumacher in the Williams. David Coulthard was third for McLaren, while Alex Zanardi in the second Williams was forth.

Prost and Arrows where again present, along with Jacques Villeneuve who recorded BAR's first testing time of 1:29.10, 7 seconds off the pace. However the Canadian only managed 3 laps.
