Giancarlo Fisichella will be driving a Peugeot 406 at Spa-Francorchamps this weekend. He is participating in the Procar Trophy Championship.

• Arrows*
  The Arrows team did some tyre testing for Bridgestone on the Silverstone circuit. The team did some tests with the Spec D Yamaha engine.
• Benetton
  Benetton was testing parts for the French Grand Prix.
• Ferrari
  Ferrari was working to improve the 046/2 engine. They also tried out the new grooved tyres for the 1998 season.
• Jordan
  The Jordan team was testing a new damper and differential. Fisichella did have a gearbox problem. The gearbox was replaced.
• McLaren
  The McLaren team was testing the new Mercedes engine but saw a lot of engine changes because of failing parts.
• Prost
  The Prost team was testing new drivers to replace Olivier Panis. The driver were Jarno Trulli and Emmanuel Collard.
• Sauber
  The Sauber team was testing for the French Grand Prix but because of the unfortunate accident with Morbidelli, he broke his left fore arm, the session was cut short.
• Stewart*
  Stewart worked on the new V10 Ford engine and some Bridgestone tyre testing.
• Williams
  The Williams team was testing for the French Grand Prix.
