Nigel Mansell had his second day of testing for the Jordan-Peugeot team on the Barcelona (Spain) circuit with a 10th best time of 1m 45.761s. The Brit didn't want to say anything solid about his future plans: "I have always had self-belief in my ability. Racing has been in my blood for 20 years. I think the chances I will be driving next year are 60/40. Whether it will be in Formula One, Indycar or something else, I just don't know."
If Mansell does return he is reported to want 7 million pounds sterling.
Gerhard Berger was fastest using a new prototype of the Renault V10 with a time of 1m 19.664s. Frentzen was second with a time of 1m 21.317s.
