Boullion, the test-driver for Williams-Renault, clocked the fastest time of the day, 1:26.84, at the tests at Silverstone (England). Boullion was the only driver to go under 1:27. Hakkinen was second with 1:27.39. Hill, who is hoping for a win at Silverstone in two weeks time, was third with 1:27.54.
Ferrari suffered another day of bad weather during testing. Nicola Larini, test driver for Ferrari, could still do a few laps in the F310 fitted with a new 7-speed gearbox and new rear suspension. He came to a best time of 1:29.64. Schumacher will continue testing tomorrow, he will, if all goes well, test a new evolution of the Ferrari V10. Ferrari saw one of their engines go during the warm up lap of the French Grand Prix last weekend.
