Summary

could not shine on his first day on his home track, but both the Benetton's
did. Alesi took the fastest time of the day with 1:22.498. Berger was
second with 1:22.570. Villeneuve was 8th fastest.
The times are a lot faster than last year because they have removed the
chicane at the Casino straight.
